DAILY TOON ROUTE 66 COMPETITIONThe objective of the competition is to estimate what the cumulative total of the shirt numbers of the starting 11 Newcastle players.
If you are taking part in Geordies team pick competition, once you have selected the team names you think will match that chosen by Bobby Robson, simply match them to their squad numbers, shown below, and then add up the shirt numbers and enter this competition in numeric value.
So far the cumulative totals have been 123 (v Newton Heath) and 135 (v Derby) You get 20 points for a correct guess, there is a reduction of one point for each number you are away, so the range on the Derby game for example was from 116 to 154.
Closing time is 3 hours prior to kick off. Kick offs on Saturday at 3.00pm will close at noon, and midweek 7.45 kick offs will close at 4.45pm.
The take up on the competition hasnt been what we hoped it would be, so for the next couple of games we will put the squad numbers on the thread to hopefully assist everyone and encourage people to join in.
