thanks for the links chris. i have taken the time to look at them, and they are interesting. what is equally interesting is the "backwards" deductive reasoning process that the webpage takes in assigning them significance.

the basic assumption of your post, and the webpages you link, is that your interpretation of the biblical passages is correct. therefore, you need only come up with an explanation of physical evidence which contradicts the theory of evolution, and evolution is therefore disproved.

what i would like to see is a webpage that deals with all the physical evidence, and moves logically forward to the conclusion that a young earth and coexistence of all animal species, even if the biblical account is set to the side.

the links i have provided in other threads respond to the existence of out of place artifacts and flood evidence, and the proponents of evolution still propound it. have you taken the time to look at those links?

I appreciate your comments. While I appreciate your criticisms let me say that what i set out to do with these pages was at least initially, quite limited. I do not know if you can "prove" creation. I know thay you cannot prove evolution.

What I set out to do was to simply provide alternatives to the orthodoxy for believers and non-believers from a scientific prospective. For instance, my Mother who has been a Christian for a long time, thought that perhaps God simply placed dinosaur bones in the ground. That's how a lot of Christians have dealt with the apparent lack of scientific backing of the scripture. My intention was to show that science is supportive.

I guess what I am saying is that my burden is lighter than the one you would prefer. I am not so much trying to prove that evolution is wrong (well I am) but really am trying to show that science that doesn't fit is ignored, science that "supports" evolution has been distorted.

Today I set up a new little page concerning the lack of genetic variability among humans. Its much lower than expected. The geneticist who reported these findings is probably an evolutionist. However, he believes that at some point, the human race was virtually wiped out by some catastrophy. While he no doubt thinks this is just interesting or puzzling, it provides people of faith with scientific support for Genesis flood.

At the same time, I don't feel that this is conclusive proof. It may turn out that the reason is something else altogether. The thing is, for a Christian, it is exactly what one might expect to see.

I have not seen the other links. I will check them out. Perhaps you could send me an e-mail with the lot of them?

thanks for your response chris. i really appreciate any and all links relating to the science, whatever conclusions might be drawn from it. some might disagree, but i don't believe [and my religion does not teach] that agreement or disagreement with the literal truth of the genesis creation saga constitutes a central tenet of christian faith. so posts like yours, which set out facts which i didnt know before, and lets me see them and draw my own conclusions - even as you let yours be known - are what i started this forum to get, and i'm glad to see some finally coming in.

the links i referred to are in other threads on the forum. there are a number of them, from both sides of the fence. whenever you have a moment or so, browse thru them and let me know what you think. actually, every link there is itself a cluster of links - i have spent much time just following each of them to their final linked end.
