Firing shutter without film

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Pentax 67 SLR : One Thread

Sometimes, I want to play with my P6x7 without film ... but the shutter doesn't fire. I understand there is a procedure to re-set the counter as to be able to fire the shutter without film. Can anyone advise?

It is easier to use the exposure counter dial to fire the shutter without film in the camera than using the shutter cocking key. That is however, unless you want the back open while firing.

Hi

I've since found the answer... it was at the bottom of the page which my browser didn't load! Anyhow, to those in the know... I still don't understand why it is recommended that the roller-bar should never be turned to the left so as not to damage the shutter. Because the only way to get the numbers to run appears to be turning it to the left...
