PC connector for external flash on Elan IIe ?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Canon EOS FAQ forum : One Thread

I recently purchased an Elan IIe and need to use external studio flash. The problem is, there is no external pc port. I know I can get a hotshoe adapter for this, but I'm not sure which one to get that will protect the camera's electronics (6 volt max.) Does anyone have any make/model# information. Thanks

I bought the Wein Safe-Sync and it works great. Others have used the Nikon AS-15 with similar results. Someone might suggestthat you sell them your Elan IIe for 5 dollars because it's useless and then buy an A2e but don't lsten to them. ;) Sell it to me for 10 and double your money.....

The Nikon AS-15 is a good hotshoe to PC adapter but it does not have any voltage reduction circuitry in it. Get the Safe-Sync by Wein.
