maybe they class it as part of Newcastle, like an outer suburb or something.

Sunderland was reclassified as being part of Teesside: big special about it on Look North the other week. Hilarious it was, they were told they aren't big enough to be considered separately for demographic studies and they couldn't bear to be classed as a suburb of Newcastle. Ho ho ho! Go and count millipede's legs.

makkemland is at the bottom of the secret list - the government are kakking themselves that some mole might leak the details and cause an outbreak of human type swine fever.

I'd like to know how they come to reach these figures and if they have figures showing the amount of growth. Having seen Newcastle grow since a young lad and seeing Manchester through work, I would have put these two cities down in the fast growth sector.

Every time I go home I think there is enough investment and construction to be able to return to the Golden City, a stark contrast to when I left anyway, only need to convince the girlfriend now!!

Debuilder th girlfriend bit is easy .. drive her round Northumberland , take her to Bamburgh for a windswept walk on the beach , go on a boat to see the seals .. then take her doon the quayside and stand under the Tyne bridge and tell her you love her .. Shell love you and Newcastle for ever guaranteed : - )

We're both doing the Great North Run in October, so if she's not overwhelmed by running over the Tyne Bridge at that point. I'm gonna say, "Mam, I'm coming home!"

Funny you should mention Bamburgh Sting, I was there for the first time ever yesterday, I couldn't believe I hadn't been there before and equally surprised to see people sunbathing on that windswept part of Northumberland; hardy race. Perhaps we are lagging in certain areas but we generally get shafted when it comes down to a choice with the Sarf being the other option.

The North South divide is massive and a big disadvantage to the club.

What it means in economic terms is a net migration from North to South, boosting employment, house prices and the economy there at the expense of the same things here. So there is less money here for things like (say) attending football matches. Furthermore, the continuing concentration on London means that every conceivable form of entertainment is there in abundance and everyone wants to be there especially, foreign football stars.

What is needed is centres of wealth creation in the North. It is no good putting in a few poxy call-centres to give the masses some pin- money. There should be real chances to advance a career in any field in any part of the country. There should be migration South to North to balance the North to South flows. I think MOST of the contributors on here are migrants, or are descended from migrants from the North East.

And Wembley should be demolished and made into a nuclear waste reprocessing centre. Don't worry they're quite safe I'm told.
