The pot's calling the kettle black...

He's at it again:

Sir(ly) Alex Ferguson turned the spotlight back on to referees after his Manchester United team had escaped with a point from a pulsating 1-1 draw with Carling Premiership new boys Ipswich at Portman Road.

The United boss, however, aimed a barbed comment in the direction of referee Jeff Winter who booked Beckham, Gary Neville and Dwight Yorke for dissent and also showed Jaap Stam a yellow card for a first-half foul.

Ferguson said: "It's a subject I don't really want to get into, but some of these referees nowadays are absolute prima donnas. They make problems for themselves."

Who the $*@k does he think he is?

He doesn't even have the bottle to say it first, just jumps on the bandwagon, typical that is!

Is the ILF (aka Bagpuss) trying to make friends with Professor Yaffle and Goggle Eyes?

"It's a subject I don't really want to get into, but some of these referees nowadays are absolute prima donnas. They make problems for themselves."

LR, you didn't answer my question, "who the $*@k does he think he is"?

Also I don't remember the French duo calling the refs. "prima donnas" + Wenger and Houllier don't act like prima donnas, cf. Taggart, hence my pot ~ kettle analogy!

Come on Bud they all criticise them in one way or another. the Frenchies wouldn't call them Prima Donnas as that is a bit of a derogatory remark made by us Brits, but really mean softy foreign ponces. :0)

DB, it's the refs. whom Taggart called 'prima donnas', not the French managers!

;-)

Bit of a misunderstanding there Bud, what I was trying to say is that the Frenchies wouldn't use the same language as Bagpuss, but basically say the same thing in their own dislikeable way.
