Well, Have you guys tried playing the AVI (not skim throug, but actually play it). Can you play pass the point where Panasonic fail to get frame? I suspect it is the AVI that is broken.

I use AVI_IO or ReelCap to do capture at high bit rate on my Broadway card, and sometimes it ends with a broken frame somewhere.

Maybe Panasonic just refuse to read pass it, unlike TMPEG which simply produce black frames.

The way I fix it is by opening the AVI in VirtualDub, then put a mark- in before the broken frame, and mark-out after the broken frame, then delete the frame. Save the AVI using direct stream copy.

I use to use Panasonic and it gave me the message. I used the pmeg anyway (it played ok but) SOMETIMES it would hang in the bad spot using windows media player. (OR) play a blank black screen with just sound until the end of the movie. I agree about AVI_IO. It is the best capture and NEVER have I had it make a nackerd avi for pansonic or tmpeg.
