Auburndale

I am looking for a photo of the tower that once stood in Auburndale before the present overpass was built. I am also looking for carloadings out of the McDonald Citrus Plant and the Adams Citrus Plant (1940-1950's). Did Auburndale ever have passenger service? Thanks

Both the ACL and SAL had passenger trains stopping at Auburndale, Fla., up to their merger as SCL. The first to be dropped by SCL was #27-28 on the ex-SAL side in early 1968. On the ex-ACL side, the last SCL passenger train to stop in Auburndale was the Jacksonville-St.Petersburg leg of #75-76, the "Gulf Coast Special" in mid to late 1969.
