Intel Driver Updates

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

Hello,

Intel have posted an updated *** xX chipset driver package for their range of motherboard chipsets, eg., 440BX, SX, GX etc. The drivers work under ALL Windows versions from 95 onwards. These drivers update several system device controllers, including support for AGP and UDMA33/66, so perhaps video capturing via AGP/PCI cards onto UDMA disks will produce better results, i havent had time to test for improvements yet, but i reckon its worth trying. www.intel.com - support/downloads page - motherboard.

Virtual Dub v1.4 is out too.

I have a question for any ATI buffs, i installed and tried some system tweaking software, it wasnt much good, however, and there was an option for my ATI AIWPro 8mb, AGP2x card to use Pentium 3 extensions, does anyone know what this means? And how could you enable this feature manually? Is it via a registry alteration?
