Try the Caretaker Gazette, 1845 Deane, Pullman, WA 99163-3504.

Does WA have something like a state-wide Farmers' Co-op system? If so, have her get the addresses of those in the area of interest and then send them a poster to display. She might be able to put an advertisement in their paper.

Does WA have something like a state-wide horse ranch magazine? Another place to try.

Travel around and leave a flyer in every feedstore, corner tavern, etc. in the area of interest.

Bergere, I'll hang onto this post for reference. It's really horsey around here and I occasionally see ads in the papers for some help. Since the fair is coming up this weekend (Evergreen) there's gonna be lots of horse folk around. Also the fair in Puyallup right after that. Maybe your friend could go to them and "network"?

I saw a really cool caretaking position in southern Oregon. It was in the classified section of the Oregonian. For information on the position e-mail ht@t2.com. I had written for information on the position. They are seeking someone with knowledge and love of horses. I do not have any knowledge of horses. I responded the 19th of January. So they may still be taking resumes. It has been a while since you placed this post. I hope it's not too late.
