Ok....forgive me if I'm wrong but isn't following instructions like the thread title suggests, all that Keane and Beckham etc are doing....allegedly...if I'm to belive you lot?

How is it ok for your players to DELIBERATELY attempt to wind up our players in an attempt to get them sent off because one is already "close to the edge" yet it's real bad if our players use whatever advantage they can gain?

Also....why...if it's The Wizzard's intention to wind his players up so much that they do indeed intimidate and hound refs as instructed, has it had little effect on players like Scholes, Irwin and Giggs?

At the risk of getting hung,drawn and quartered....isn't this hypocricy?

Isn't it fair to say that you've all been talking bollox fer years?

ALL of us? Personally, I disapprove of any attempt to have players sent off by either team and I'm sure I'm not alone in my view. I will not attempt to speak for Dave as I haven't read his full piece.

Logic, LR, is evidently not your strong point. (I recall the non- sequiter about me hating winners last week). Indeed, I have come to doubt the level of your intelligence after some recent remarks. Andy, can't you let us just talk about football and leave the wind- ups out. I'd always welcomed having a Manchester United supporter around for banter and a totally different perspective. If nothing else I admired your passion. Now all we're getting from you is

: 1)Manchester United have more fans (yeah, so what) 2)Manchester United have bigger attendences (see above) 3)Manchester United are more succesfull (you don't say). and most annoying of the lot, 3)repeated digs at one of our most respected contributors. Your capable of better than this. For instance how about an honest and constructive appraisal of how our lot played yesterday, this is a Newcastle United BBS after all.

Lanky, I am aware that when Keane has the run of the pitch he can run the game, I'm sure if I know this Bobby Robson does too. At any level of football part of the game is to wind-up the opposition. as long as it's within the laws of the game, if fair enough. Make your first tackle "firm but fair" I was always told. A little bit of verbal abuse if Ok too, the more suseptable will bite, the intelligent will turn the other cheek. Every time I play I wind-up the opposition until they can;t concentrate on their game. It not my fault but four players were sent off against me last season, one for going a bit wild when I told hom he was a thieving in-bred gypsy, anther threw a puch after a couple of minutes when I sent him sprawling with a crunching but fair tackle, it's in the game.

At St James last year, we didn't give Keane an inch, he knew we weren't intimidated & he lost it. It was all within the game & he just couldn't handle it. If we were going to win yesterday we had to do the same but for the first half yesterday we let him play in the hole & pull the strings yet we didn't try to close him down. The difference between me advocating a competitive appoach & the antics of Keane (eg last week) is that Keane is a danger to other players & the penalties should be higher for this sort of offence. Again his intimidation of the referee is something that cannot be allowed. As for Bekham, I don't think he's a dirty player, just mentally dim & easily led, I've never said otherwise.

Stevo....ALL my abuse has been in retort. What do U think the following "examples" makes me think or do...:-)

now..when I get annoyed..I get annoyed..and as such I strike back. Unfortunately the only weapons rather than personal abuse that I have recently ..is the truth. When our crowds are labbled glory hunters and part timers..I feel th eneed to expose this as lies...when I mention vast gaps..it's usually whne I read about the opposition beinng close to us during a game when I saw it sp much differently.

I can quite easily zip it WRT our fans...if only everyone else could. Honest mate..this is NO WAY a one sided affair. However..I'll do me best.

Freaky...listen in...I am in 100% agreement with your last post....I was actually playing Devils Advocate when I picked up on your comment yesterday :-)...Ya know what..I do exactly the same mesel' on the field of play. I was just glad to read your up-and-at-'em post after many folk killin' our boys for doin' the very same. Ok....stamp out Kean's OVER aggressiveness..and the 10 yard rule SHOULD put pay to any ref. antics....we shall see.
