Do you watch political debates?--Al

Myself, considering political debate an oxymoron I plead guilty of being an innocent non-observer -- aural or visual. Nor do I like the hype, hoopla and bull-hockey that are the conventions. In my most humble politely advanced, tentative opinion. Duck Doug !

Yes, I used to side completely with everything any democrat canidate would say, in my college over-zealous years. Now I realize that neither side stands for everything I believe in, and I watch without getting caught up in the emotions. Wisdom comes with age, I guess.

I do watch political debates. But I'm watching to discover my own truth - which candidate is being respectful of the other, how the candidate handles adverse behaviour from the other candidate, the audience, etc. I watch for who can handle themselves and who needs handling. Being respectful of the press is also a litmus test. That's a feat that could test the strength of a nun on valium.....
