Litmanen was just brilliant for Finland on wednesday when Finland beat Norway 3-1 in a friendly match. Litmanen scored two goals and worked harder than ever. BUT like I said earlier the guy looks fine but is never fit enough even for a quarter of the season. Strained groin or asthma or both. In an after-match interview he said he will be announcing his new club on friday (that's today I think ;). Propably it'll be some spanish mid-table club.

Maybe it's just the Finnish climate. Strains the groin easily. Seriously, I actually have never seen him sniffing or mumbling incomprehensibly (cos his hay fever) when interviewed for Ajax or Barcelona.

My guess is he is too old for YBR to buy, particularly for a forward. I think the policy seems to be buy young, fast and skillfull. Besides he is Finnish - its the herring and potato that makes you wheeze like an asthmatic.
