going out at night

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Gwen's Trailer Trash Forum : One Thread

What, in general, do you like to do? Bars, movies, clubs, twenty-four-hour Wal-Marts? And tell me your age group, and if you're in a long-term relationship.

go out?

oh, wait, we like movies, we see alot of them-trash action flicks, arty shit, sometimes the romantic stuff, if I can persuade him there are redeeming qualities...I'm all steamy over anything Russel Crowe or Richard Gere..tho Richard Gere is just kinda cute, we have matching birthmarks, but Russel is all around Hot Man!

bars-always open to drinking and getting wasted...but usually we hang out at a friends house for that (ie...pink poodles..)

clubbing days are in the past, tho I love to dance and want to go, but Brian J. never seems to ask me since Patrick doesn't like to dance and I guess Brian J thinks Patrick and I are siamese twins or something....

Wal Marts is too far away...25 minutes..I could fall asleep driving out there at 2am...tho whenever I go to Denton, I visit the 24hr wall marts.....

other interests..our Mac, our dogs..in general, we just like to hang in our house or a friends house, chatting, drinking, doing the oiuja....

long term relationship? Did I mention my siamese twin of the past 11 years? We're joined at the butts...odd, since I am older that him....33 and 35

I'm 25 and smitten long term. We rarely go out, usually just veg out at home in front of the tv or a dvd or romp around the bedroom. When we do go out sometimes we'll go get drinks or sushi with a friend or 2. It's a nice occasional diversion but we're both basically homebodies.

34 and married.

Mostly homebody-ish. We see tons of movies, but usually at the earliest morning show on Saturday or Sunday since most cinemas are empty then (read: no rude or tacky people). Sometimes we'll go out for drinks at a local bar. We go out to eat like all the time. I'm usually never in a 24-hour anything, although I've done my grocery shopping at midnight more than once. :-) But usually we stay at home and we're both either online and working or offline and reading something and working or teaching ourselves something new and working. You get the drift. We work a lot.

12 years attached and love it. Mostly homebodies too (especially since getting rental DVD's in the mail. NetFlix rocks!)

Sometimes we pretend that we have that "active lifestyle" and kayak/camp/swim, and sometimes we pretend we have that "Martha Stewart lifestyle" and try to get people together to hang, but mostly we just watch the dogs do funny things. Do you ever sneak around to watch your pets? ha!

I love to run around and party in new cities, my current city is too boring. Home Depot and Walmart are both fun late at night.

oh....age 39 (and pretty happy about that.)

36, married.

Let's see - on Mondays I teach obedience, on Tuesdays I teach agility and also have my own dogs in classes, Wednesday night is my daughter's gymnastics night, Thursday night is "When can we see our precious granddaughter/you never talk to us anymore" get-together with the in-laws night, Friday night is FREE, Saturday and Sunday nights are usually out 'cause we're too tired from doing dog stuff (me) or golfing (my husband).

It sounds hectic but dull, doesn't it? When my daughter was with my parents a couple of weeks ago, my husband and I actually went out on a Saturday night to eat and went to a non-animated movie like a real couple. It was very strange, almost nostalgic.

I like to go to the pub with friends and drink copious amounts of cider and blackcurrant. I don't like my husband to go with us, if only because he generally hates to go to pubs at night and would only complain about everything.

Sometimes I like to go to this club-like pub called the Academy on the Waterfront, but I have to get prepared to go by downing a few glasses of Malibu and Cherry Coke.

Generally, though, I'd rather stay in.

I'm 28 and living in sin. We stay in mostly during the week, although I sometimes go out with my girlfriends to shop or watch tv or see a movie. On the weekend, we try to do things together. Sometimes we just go to the mall or grab something to eat. Sometimes we go for drives, because we're both old people at heart who like to drive around the countryside, see the sights and look at big, fancy houses. Once in a while, we go to the movies, but probably only once a month. Sundays are usually family time -- we go to his parents' house and play cards, or do yardwork for his parents.

It sounds really boring when I type it out, but it's not to me. Neither of us are big bar or club people. This summer has been busy -- it seems like every weekend we have some sort of social obligation. Since the winters are so crappy here, during the summer we try to enjoy it and get outside.

40, and so very, very alone.

I have a favorite brewpub I like to go to. The bar staff there know me, they have awesome food and beer, and there's sometimes an interesting fella to talk to.

I also like movies, but I tend to go earlier in the day, when the price is lower.

28 and living in sin for a year.

We try to go out to bars/clubs at least once a weekend. We like to try nightclubs that we've heard about. It's fun to get dressed up and dance for hours. We also like to sit at a bar all night, watch a Yankee game, and get drunk.

This past weekend we played mini-golf. That was fun!

32 and single like it's my job. I go out pretty frequently - I like to go to the movies, I meet some friends for a "beer and wings" night at a local bar. I work in a bar one night a week, which is pretty social and much like going out, except I drink less and leave with more money than I came with. I like to go out and chat and drink and hang out with my people, not necessarily meet new ones. Which is less mean than it sounds, I hope.

29 and have been living in sin for two years. Wheee!

We're both night people, which means we really don't get rolling on our days until about 3 in the afternoon. It's usually 11pm when we realize we don't have eggs or a drill bit, so we'll go to Meijer, a hypermarket supserstore thing that's open twenty-four hours a day.

We also have season passes to King's Island, so sometimes we'll go over and catch a few rollercoaster rides and watch the fireworks.

We also like to see live music. We saw a Jerry Jeff Walker concert the other week, and even though I don't know a lot of his music, he did Mr.Bojangles, and I swear I was a blubbery, crying mess. I try to support the local music around here, but it sucks, and it sucks bad, man. I wish I still lived in Annapolis so I could go to The Ram's Head and see cool people like Dar Williams play.

Sometimes we'll go to Reds games because we have friends with season tickets, but I hate the Reds, so I usually sit there and people watch. Other than that, we're fairly boring people.

two months shy of 34, and single as all hell. And convinced I will always be single, which sucks. I am an extreme homebody; I'm addicted to cable TV and my computer, and 95% of my weekends are spent flolloping on the floor or bed, watching tv, getting nothing done. I go to the movies fairly often, but always in the afternoon, like at 4 or 5. I'm Miss Boring.
