I will just have to be content with the fact that I have just been recalled into the league reserve team.

Mrs gus thought I was too old at 43 to be playing in the Social League. Just goes to prove her right!

Another couple of clean sheets (NO Gav NO!!) and I might be back in the first team!!!

Now that would be close to a record. I think the average age of our 1st team is 21.

A mate is the registrar for the league over here. When the team sheets went in on Thursday night he tried to ring me. He had to wait until this afternoon to get through.

He took great pride in announcing to me that I was the oldest GK in the division, 1st team or Reserves. In fact I am the second oldest player in the top 3 Divisions and Reserves.

The guy who is older than me was born in December 56, my birthday was Jan 57.
