I might be talking bollox but I have got it into my head that;
If you've been working there 3 months you should have a copy of your contract (small firms sometimes overlook this) and you are entitled to holidays (paid at your usual rate). They do have a right to ask for notice, and that could be a sticking point. You may have to be "sick" this time around, but there will be lessons learned for both parties. You will give more notice and they will be more accomodating in the future.

That was helpful of you LR was it not. Anyway dear Swift we are all statutaryly entitled to a minimum 4 weeks per year or 20 days. Pro rata it if you are part time. ie If you are contracted to work 3 days a week then your entitlement will be 4(weeks)x3= 12 days a year.>> >> They can say no if they have a set period of notice to be given for a holiday request. My firm require 1 months notice for holiday requests. Alternatively you may not have been in emploment long enough to yet qualify for said 3 days off. Check the above out with bosses. Hope this helps some what.
