Sorry to pinch your space Jacko but LR`s Vialli thread is way doon and I would like to apologise to him and any others on here who may have took offence by a remark I made to LR in all innocence and on reading the news today I realise it could be construed to be insensitive of I assure you all Im not. In reply to LR I jokingly said his problem was lack of fresh air in former life, for those of you not aware he is an ex sub-mariner, we have all been there, just never thought, I am so sorry and hopefully those poor guys can be saved,

Good on ya Buff for putting that up front though I'm sure Lanky wouldn't have read your comment that way. It's an absolute shocker those poor Russkies trapped on the ocean floor. I went to sleep last night knowing by the time I woke up in the comfort of my own bed more of them would most likely have given up trying to get enough oxygen in their lungs. It'll be a miracle if that Brit submersible manages to get any out alive. Very depressing indeed. The sort of thing that puts spats on here into context.

I'd still like to watch Galaxy spank the back of Lanky's legs though - especially if he doesn't get around to responding to her !

The cold could play an important factor in their survival, if their metabolism slows right down their heart will beat slower and they will need less oxygen. The thought of suffocation like that terrifies me, I hope they get through.

Sorry to take you off that line of thought lads but my original question wasn't related to the Vialli thread - it was a response to the "Oi Jacko - bollox" thread which LR started then beggared off. By the look of it though, all he does is shout at women rather than involve himself in sensible conversation with them though so his lack of a reply if understandable!

Buff, everyone on here knows that that would have not been a calculated comment from you. Not your style to aim below the belt. Even that plum, LR, wouldn`t be daft enough to think it was deliberate. I`m with everyone on here who hopes the rescue mission is a success, though the outlook is not looking good to-day. I shall be keeping my fingers crossed and hoping they are not too late.

Shippers..U had no need to apologise on that score mate....I know Jack takes the piss an all that but I knew you were not refering to the Russian boat when you made that oxygen comment.........pure coinicidence...I even had a giggle...although since the weekend I've been with my comrades in heart and soul every minute of the day.

It will not be the lack of oxygen that will eventually kill them all, it will be carbon dioxide. If they can't get rid of the carbon dioxide build up they will all die....in fact they'll just nod-off and that will be that. Thing is though...they know it. They know they're gonna die.

I'll get round to answering any questions posted earlier in a wee bit.

Don't go to all that trouble LR - I know you're a gentleman (!) - I'll believe whatever you tell me - it was just a wind up ;-) By league games I meant league - ie Prem or Nationwide. I did 49 last season plus 8 Worthless and FA Cup games (sod your European matches - I bet I saw more FA Cup games than you!). Sorry about this mate, I just took offence at the implication in your initial post that I was some sort of armhchair fan .... bloody nerve!
