Internet cafes in the Toongreenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread |
Apart from McNulty's, are there any Internet cafes in Newcastle? I only ask cos I'll be wanting to use the Internet next week and, particularly after Easyeverything (prices range from #1 for 30 mins to #1 for 6 hours45 depending on time of day), McNulty's is madly dear. They also have ergonomic keyboards - WHOSE hands are these meant to accommodate?

There's internet access at the city library to be had. You need to be a member and for that you'll need a tyneside address. Ummm, other than that....

I went to the Easyeverything one in Amsterdam - it was mindblowing - 650 terminals and 2.5 guilders (70p) for hours and hours! It meant I could read the Ronnie whilst on holiday - sad or what!

There is 'Lock 'n Load' in Blyth if you wish to venture that far northThere is also going to be another one opening up above Sunlight dry cleaners in Blyth as well.
Wierd - Blyth is more on-line than Newcastle :/

Also try the Newcastle Discovery Museum. They've got an internet room. Supposedly you're only allowed 15min, but if you can find a terminal in some dark corner and it's not crowded you can stay on longer. And it's free! Otherwise, it's McNulty's. I'm tellin ya, Dougal...we should go in on an Easy Everything franchise in Toon! :-)

There's also a small one on Heaton Road (forget it's name) but that's it I think.Ergonomic keyboards were designed to fit the hands of Ergons. Isn't it obvious?

There's one in that Arcade where Windows music & record shop is. However when I was there two years ago, it was very expensive and the connection was terribly slow. They also served food - again, very expensive.
