I've been carefully creating VCDs using Adaptec Easy CD Creator with a simple one level menu. When playing with my Pioneer Dv-K302CD and Playback Control on, then menu works fine, meaning when I press "1" then the video clip in Play sequence 01 plays.

Now if I switch off Playback Control, which then gives full display of track number, track elapsed time and more, then when I press "1" then the video clip for Menu item plays, if I press "2" then the video clip for Play sequence 01 plays.

Weird stuff and it may be Pioneer fault. However, the Best of Police VCD2.0 works just fine in both modes - but they have arranged the tracks differently. The first song is actually as part of the Menu item video clip (so with playback control off, pressing "1" simply plays first the menu intro then the first piece of music, with playback contol on then somehow pressing "1" jumps into the middle of the Menu item clip at the start of the song. Not understood by me how they do this, but it certainly works well).

Anyone else had fun with Playback Control, Menus and Easy CD Creator ?
