LINTHICUM, Md. (AP) -- A light rail train crashed Tuesday morning at Baltimore Washington International Airport, causing an undetermined number of injuries.

One passenger was believed to have been trapped in the train, and the rest had been transported to local hospitals, airport spokesman Ron Grubb said.

The condition of the passengers or their injuries was not immediately known.

The train crashed into the barrier at the end of the line at the airport's international pier, said John White, another airport spokesman.

Train crash at airport

One person is trapped and there are several injuries in a light rail train crash at Baltimore Washington International Airport. An airport official says the train crashed into the William Donald Schaefer terminal at this morning. Traffic is being diverted and train service to the airport has been halted.
