A message for any other Sydney-based 'lurkers' out there who I haven't already been in touch with : There'll be a few of us meeting up to watch televised matches this season, starting of course with ManU this Sunday. Kickoff is 1 am I think, so will be aiming to meet up around midnight so we can get the best seats before the Cockneys arrive in their droves.

Definitely open to suggestions of alternative venues where we can meet to make it fairer on folk not based the 'right' side of the Harbour (;o)) - preferably venues that will at least stay open until the end of the match. Who says you don't learn from bitter experience !!

To get us started for the Old Trafford match though, the crack will be at Easts Leagues Club in Bondi Junction. It's easy to get to, open 24 hrs, cheap beer, wearing colours is fine (though need to be reasonably smart - no thongs, stubbies etc).

So feel free to drop us a line if you're interested, or if you want to say hi suggest other venues for future live games. You'd probably be best off using the other email address, ie. seymour.maddison@uts.edu.au
