My 8 year-old Silver MC developed a limp over the last year that the vet diagnosed as a luxating knee cap (I think that's right)-- the knee cap slips out of place -- which he said is due to overweight. She was 15 lbs and definitely on the chubby side (can no longer claim fluffy as the issue!)and he took X-rays to verify that there's no damage other than stretched ligaments. So we went on a strict diet and Michi lost the 5 lbs he recommended. She's still limping. I'm going to give her another week as the weight has just come off, before calling the vet. Does anyone have experience with this problem in an overweight or otherwise MC? (I realize she's small for a MC.) Anyone with experience with this would be most helpful. Thank you.

Suggestion: If your Silver Mouse Catcher is not cured by starvation, try defenestration. This usually equalizes leg length and defines longevity.

Or,simply place SMC in a medium-capacity box with a Maine Coon, as was the Creator's intent when He named the breed in the first place.
