Can`t wait for the season to begin!

I don`t seem to be able to tune into new players at all, until I`ve sewn them on the pitch and in action. I`m really looking forward to the new season and seeing what impact the new signings will make.

Well only a week to go - I expect the BBS will be busy next Sunday evening!(:o)

Of course, I won`t be sewing anybody on the pitch - but I hope I will be seeing them!(:o)

From what people have seen, Daniel Cordone (danny@cordone.co.uk) Is likely to be the buy of the season and should start in the first game. The same goes for Carl Cort (corty@carlcort.net) who is faster and fitter than ferguson ever was. Bassedas (christian@bassedas.co.uk) is reckoned to be much better playing in the Rob Lee role in the centre of the park. Not sure on this McGuffie lad though.

I hear ya, Galaxy! Was listening to the Wombles webcast yesterday and have Charity Shield. Just appetizers for the real thing next weekend!

Keane sent off(hee!!!!), plenty of moaning at the ref from both sides and Hasselbaink diving. Let's see if the FA really mean business about cracking down.

Would you believe that I couldn`t watch the Charity Shield, and Pete missed the Grand Prix `cos we were attending a garden party! I don`t mean a rip roaring BBQ, I mean a proper, old fashioned tea and cakes affair. Pete`s secretary and her husband are the Chairman and Secretary of the local `fushcia` (sp) society. I can`t believe Pete agreed to go - she must have caught him at a weak moment! I am quite certain that this afternoon`s event is the kind of picture that Americans have of us English. Very quaint, all bone china and scones, Laura Ashley and panama hats - all that was missing was the croquet!

Mind you, they say variety is the spice of life - last weekend we were watching Superbikes with the great unwashed, this weekend - what can I say?! `More tea Vicar?` (:o)

Rik,

Are these e-mail addresses kosher?
It's curious that when the newspapers are all pointing out that Bassedas spells his christian name "Cristian" that the email address you quote spells it "Christian". I sent a short note to this address when they were in Columbus Ohio and got a reply shortly aftwerwards with a GMT time stamp on it!!

After watching the highlights of the Charity Shield, I am getting really excited about next weekend! Proper football again wheyhey!!

I thought ManU looked a bit disorganised too - a couple of occasions where Baldtez and the defenders weren`t really in tune.

Also think it`s becoming rather tedious listening to Tagart blaming the ref for Keane`s behaviour. Isn`t it time the FA told him to shut up and put his own house in order?(:o)

Also - I have in the past jumped to Keane`s defence and have admired his grit and determination. Unfortunately it is becoming obvious to all that he has totally lost it. His tactics are no longer based on any sort of footballing skill, they are pure intimidation and bullying. He sets an appalling example to his young fans, and I think far from being a good captain, he is now verging on being a liability to the club. It is more than possible that he will destabilize the team, cause serious injury to someone, and end his own career in disgrace. (:o|

Then how on earth can an animal / psycopath like Keane be allowed to be "Footaller of the Year", some role model?

:-(

Oi vay, Clarky - they'll be as Kosher as a pork pie in a synagogue. I hear it's a sip. No doubt they find their way to an e-mail box in darkest North Shields. Not that I'm getting cynical in me old age you understand!

And this would be a problem...how? ;-)

No problem for anyone but ManU Ciara. I just can`t understand why Taggart allows it to continue. He must rue the day he made him captain, and he is so OTT now, I do wonder what the rest of the team think of him.(:o)

Au contraire ma cher Galaxy. The psychopath's behaviour is exactl what Taggart expects and likely demands. Perhaps nice old Roy went a bit OTT on Sunday, expecting a bit more charity from Mike Riley in the Charity Shield. With ManUre's depth of resources (there's still Kicky Butt waiting on the sidelines to kick ass) it is a gamble Taggart is prepared to pay. He knows Keane-o will be suspended for a few matches per season. The biggest problem for them is just how early in a match Roy's fuse goes off. Once the wagon starts rolling, ManUre will, under the gentle giant's onfield guidance, (in Taggart's opinion) be ahead in the games due to his "playmaking" and they'll be able to ride out the 20 or so minutes when he's in the bath.

hmmmm....so all any opponent has to do is get under KuddlyKeano's skin early so he gets himself sent off... What was it Big Al said last season? "They don't like it up em" ? Hope the lads remember that on Sunday! :-)
