Sanchez changed her mind the very day this was published by MSNBC. She's now holding the fund raiser somewhere else and she's back in the convention. Hugh's a little pissed, but he's only contributed $1500 to Gore's campaign [albeit more like $50,000 to the DP in general].

Dubya is the one who's been campaigning saying "We'll RESTORE decency to the White House." When asked if he was referencing Clinton in that statement recently, he said, "I didn't mean restore in that way. I meant uphold. I wasn't making any references." Uh- huh.

Loretta Sanchez is nothing more than a human puppet for La Raza, the Hispanic activist organization. They are on a little power roll these days, what with up to 1 million new members sneaking into the U.S. every year. However, they just got a little lesson in where the REAL power is based, and its not in Southern California. My friends in the Hispanic community tell me that Sanchez has fallen out of favor with TPTB at La Raza and there is an inside effort to replace her. You can listen to her screeching voice for about 37 seconds before audio overload sets in. The new site for this little fundraiser will be at B.B. Kings place at the Universal Studio complex. Organizers are complaining they do not have enough room to hold their annual drive-by contest, which determines local small arms champions from the 50 plus Hispanic gangs in the SoCal area. This contest promises new winners each year as last years contestants are all dead or in Corcoran.
