S J P, Simply the Best (see the pictures)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

For those of you living away from toonside, heres some large pictures from within te new ST james' Park. it's "Simply the best", which incidently is the tune replacing the gillette advert song that accompanies the team coming out into the pitch, we had to endure last season. Neither of which in my opinion are as good as Mark Knopflers, "Local Hero". Anyway thats another story, here's the pictures from LEVEL 7. ..... they are large and take a few minutes to load.

Crackin' pictures Bonnie Lad. Who's the smart git in the shirt and tie? It'll be great when it's finished. Only another side and end to go now!

The blerk in the picture must be one of Russell Cushing's mates I reckon. The piccies were stolen from the ronnie Gill, I paticullaly like the free adverts given to me i9n the team picture. Indeed Newcastle aren't the only ones advertising my web site on there shirts this season. Villa and a few others are doing the same. As for the ground Stu, they haven't sold 3,000 of the seats so have allocated them as pay on the day seats, so if you like you can sit next to me for a mere #52.50 a game. Don't think they'll be expanding the ground any further as I hear they sold the land that they owned above the St james' Metro (behind the South stand) , to a property developer.I reckon that's it as far as tyhe ground goes, although I agree it's a bit lob sided, it's a hell of a Stadium.

Ah, finally got to your site, Rik! Thanks for putting up those photos!

Btw, who's the nameless, half-a-team-staff-man on the left side, middle row?

Ciara choose from reserve team coach, Tommy Craig, Derick Wright (Physio), Mick greener (Masseur) and Simon Smith Goalkeeping coach.I missed them all off, as mi scanner wasn't big enough. Also NO NOBBY, shall I superimpose him onto Howey's body, or will it look a bit daft?

Well Howey is sporting quite a tan these days.... ;-)

Did anyone notice just how many youngsters are included in the first team sqaud. O.K. a couple, Serrant and Hamilton are out of here as soon as possible.

That still leaves 18 players in the 18 to 22 year old range, and one 17 year old - Gary Caldwell. That leaves 12 players over 23 who possibly should see out the season. I've not counted Howey and Ferguson for obvious reasons, and did not include the lads on the transfer list - Charvet & Marcelino.
