Canoscan 2710f or Minolta Scan Dual II need advice

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

I will be purchasing a film scanner in the next couple days, and don't want to buy a lemon. Which is better - Minolta Scan Dual II or the Canoscan 2710f? Why? How do they each perform?

Thanks

I think that both should be quite good. The dynamic range is about the same for both. the scan dual II is a usb device that allows you to connect to computers without scsi connections, e.g. i-mac.

The best way to find out which one works for you is to check out a non partison eval. company like Betterbuys.com, or any buyers lab. These are two companys that I use to help clients with their solutions. It is non partison, and it also gives you the scoop if there is another product that you may not have considered.

Happy Hunting.
