Charlie, if I thought you had any idea what the larger, long-term debate is about, I'd worry about you. If it pleases you to concentrate on the day-to-day fluctuations, please do so. But weren't you one of the people who would jump all over the doomsters last year every time the Dow took a dip and "the y2k crash is here" talk began? The post below is just FYI.

Analysts Suspect Gas Prices May Increase Through Labor Day Weekend

Source: Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News

Publication date: 2000-08-11

Aug. 11--Gas prices, which have fallen steadily for four weeks, appear poised for a U-turn. Industry watchers say they've seen ominous signs in recent days that pump prices are headed up and could stay higher through the Labor Day weekend.

Prices jumped 20 cents per gallon this week on one wholesale gasoline market.

You are AN ASS, CASH.

I have known what the "oil debate" has been about since before the first shortage in 1973-5. It has been the biggest political football/pork barrel ever since then. Just the debate on "depletion allowances" is beyond the scope of the discussion here and it is simple to understand.

FACT: the Doomers claimed Y2k embedded chips /system failures would cause a disasterous situatuion in Oil, Chemical and all Manufacturing. FACT: NOTHING HAPPENED. FACT: THE PRICE OF OIL IS SET BY SUPPLY AND DEMAND

FACT.......OPEC CONTROLS THE SUPPLY. The demand is errratic. END OF CONVERSATION. TAKE YOUR BULL SHIT AND GO FIND SOME REAL **DUMMIES** WHO DON"T KNOW SQUAT AND TRY TO SELL THEM YOUR BULL SHIT AND THAT OF SITES LIKE **DIEOFF**.

Yep, this is definitely a bear market for gasoline. The chart says it all. Doesn't it?

-- ABC (a@b.c), August 11, 2000.

The chart doesn't tell us anything at this point except that there has been a trend reversal. Meanwhile, the open interest is falling as is the vol. Since March when spot and nearbys have crossed $30, someone at OPEC mumbles about 22-25/bbl and the price goes down. Since at anytime the OPEC traders can drive the price up or down, what they do is paramount.

You will never know what that is.

NEVER.

(Sigh) charlie, your own words prove you don't know a thing. Please, stick to the day to day stuff, revel in your y2k obsession and your spamming, continue to limit your contribution here to capital letters and obcenities. It is apparently the only life you have, so do please try to be happy in it.

LOLOL!! You said a mouthful there Cash!

That pretty much sums up the Creep in a nutshell, and thankfully, in a whole lot less words than it would take him!

Way to go partner. ;-)

Humph, well, I am going to call this guy put. See the chart above^^ it keeps saying call put, so I will.
