Looking thorugh FAQ's I haven't found this question answered anywhere - do the built-in DVD players on 2000 powerbooks play VCD? IF no, is there any software to make it work?

Sure, should play just fine as long as you use the Quicktime Player to open up the relevant file on the VCD...
