I have found some pictures of the last train over the former CG track from Andalusia. The pictures were made in Gantt, AL. SR 5147 is pulling SR Boxcar 47415, 7 covered hoppers and baywindow cab X216. My question what date did the last train run from Andalusia? Thanx for your help.

Answers

According to "Along The Three Notch", copyright G. Sidney & Polly Waits dated January 2003, the date was March 31st 1983. Mr. A.M. Evans was the engineer. Hoppers were empties from Amoco Fabrics, and the engine # was indeed 5147.
