Replacement

So, if Dunc has gone, do we think another is coming in? In an ideal world who would we want? Someone 21, strong, quick and capable of more than 20 games per season. The question is, is there anyone to fit the bill??

I would've gone for Robbie Keane..I wonder if we can persuade Inter to sell him cos he failed to score last night ;))

Of course, if we're going to be spending the money straight away (not a foregone conclusion in my opinion) then Macmanaman is the name being banded around as available. Go for the France approach to scoring goals? With one (or even none) technically 'up front' as such, then Shearer, Cort, Cordone, Gallacher, MacManaman?, Speed, Bassedas, Dyer, Solano, Gavilan, Lee suddenly seems to be more than enough cover.

McManaman for Ferguson? I'm off to SHOOT myself!

Sorry Windy mate but as you've probably guessed I'm far from happy with this and would seriously consider suicide as an option if we were to sign that floppy haired twat in Yin's place....

This farce ranks up alongside those Gary Speed to Man City for 3 million rumours....

HAhaha. I was only stirring re MacManaman and the no strikers approach. everybody can't fail but like Ferguson and his talismanic approach, hence the general dismay at the rumour. Just make sure that the fantasy of him being fit for the whole season (or even large part) doesn't mask the reality that he's a liability fitness wise. We've seen glimpses of the potential and it's a mouthwatering prospect. Personally, I think if he stayed it would be just that, frustrating glimpses of what might be and one or two great memories.

Wat wud you prefer??? A fit Ferguson for half of a season at 40k/week.......or a replacement striker who will want at least 25- 30k, unlikely to be as dangerous as DF and will probably only play half the games anyway due to our 4 good strikers?

trouble is you just dont know with Dunc Its bloody frustrating for us when he's unfit Imagine what its like for YBR thinking long term Can he be relied on?

I'm not convinced BR would go in for a striker at this stage with AS, Don Corleone, CC and KG in harness. There are also strong suggestions that he has a CB and LFB lined up. However, before he signed CC he tried very hard to sign Emille M'Penza - so it seems logical that he could conceivably go back for him if the price was right this time.
