I guess something had gone wrong in your burning process. Disc that cannot be loaded by the VCD player will lead to a "DISC ERROR" message display oin your VCD player display panel. Look through carefully in this forum and I'm sure you would be able to find the remedy on recording you VCD in a proper way.

I think that you must recreate your vcd in a correct format, though I don't know what kind of software you used to create the vcd,you should tell that in the question,'cause there is a special format for vcd,if it's done wrong, then,it can only be played in your computer only.it maybe one of problems.

Some DVD-players can only play Original VCDs, if the CD is not an Original the message "DISC error" will appear... I would like to know if there is some way to burn VCDs in a way that makes the DVD-player think it's an Original.

maybe the type or the trademark of your copy cd. Some kind of cd cannot read by vcd or dvd player.
