If you just want to view the content, and not access menus or other special features, you can use Windows Media Player. Find the large .DAT file(s) in whatever directory they are in (MPEGAV?) and drop on top of Media Player. This works with my homemade VCDs, don't know about commercial pressed VCD's. Try it, it can't hurt anything. Now then, what PC software will simulate a VCD/DVD player and show menus?

the people at http://www.videocds2000.com recommended me to use XingMpeg Player, and I've got no regret after downloading it. It plays every VCD I bought from them, and most of all, it produces excellent audio and visual quality. Don't use Windows Media Player, it can't play many titles.
