High Demand Causes Power Problems Much of Tooele County was without power again Tuesday morning as Utah Power scrambled to beat a string of bad luck and keep up with power demands in the quickly-growing area. Most of Tooele, Grantsville, Rush Valley, and Skull Valley lost power between 3:30 and five. Spokesperson Dave Eskelsen says the area has grown fast, but they've already upgraded the main power transformer. Eskelsen says they have plenty of electricity, but electric demand has been high in this summer's extended hot weather because most new homes have central air conditioning.
