Hello! Now is the time to start to plan for the big event 2001. Wallenborgs Wild East 2001 and the Swedish Five Days. When: Mid July to August 1 2001 Where: Uppsala and Mdrsta Sweden, just 20 min. from the international Airport. Accomondation: Chbteau Wallenborg, Free and relaxed for all tired orienteers. Orienteering: Escape the summerheat of the US and enjoy the beauty of the nice mid Swedish coniferus forrest. And miles of good maps. Take part of the biggest Orienteering event there is. You will also have the oppertunity to do some orginized practice events the week before the Five Days. What else: This event will offer so much moor then orienteering. You will have time to explore The old famoues Royal Capital, Stockholm as well as the University town of Uppsala. Or just take a swim in some cold Swidish forrest lake.

We do hope to see as many of Orienteer Kansas members here in the old World for the biggest event for the new mellenium, Wallenborgs Wild East 2001.

So who will be the first to give a possitive response to this invitation?

Welcome to Uppsala and the Wallenborgs Wild East 2001.

Mike and I will be there! We wouldn't miss it. I have already started preparations: I realized that my passport had expired, so I sent in a renewal application this week. Now I have to start to prepare physically for 5 days of O.... WWE or bust!

We know that we could count on the two of you, Mike and Mary. We are looking forward to see you both again and spend some time together. But we are also hoping to see Gene, Dan, Fritz, Mook and ofcourse anyone else that want to take part in WWE2201 here in Sweden next summer.

Will there be som fish taco at WWE2001?

-- Flacos Taco (flaco@taco.com), August 11, 2000.

Yes! and no! Spikes favourite meal will be served some evening - Fish burrito and not Fish Taco. Long live the memory of Flacos Taco

All right!

You can count me in. It was the fish burritos that was the deal sealer.

I've been trying to find the WWE homepage, but haven't had any luck so far. Can you post the URL to it?

I think the WWE homepage is probably at http://www.uokh.f2s.com/wwe.html

Although when I went there today I got a message "HTTP 404 Not Found." Probably just a temporary server problem.

I spoke with our travel agent the other day. She said that summertime fares from KC to Stockholm are currently $1200, but they should drop to about $700-$800 during the sales. She expects summer flights will go on sale around February or March. Just for fun, I checked how much it is to fly to Stockholm in the winter: if you leave by March 31st, you can get there for $595 round trip. Any one interested in a Stockholm Christmas? :)
