USB on Windows NT

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

Hello there.

I own a Canon S20 and my laptop runs on Windows NT (company policy) and I seem to understand that Windows NT doesn't support USB ports (or IR communications, which is also annoying), so I have to download my photos trhough the serial port, which can be extremely long. Is there any way to activate the USB port with Windows NT : some sort of driver or add-on software ?

Thanks for your help,

Antonio.

Get a PCMCIA Compact Flash card adapter from www.lexarmedia.com or you local CompUSA, Best Buy.... You take the media out of the Canon, stick it in the adapter, plug the adapter in the laptop and drag the pictures to your hard drive. $20 for the adapter and you regain your sanity, such a bargain.....
