Nice!!! Nice catch lights :-) I do find the gold rock a little distracting but that's it. The slightly out of focus background puts the emphasis on the animal while still leaving enough to give insight into the otter's environment. Very nice.

Keith, I like your image. Maybe a little more DOF would make me happier, but that's me. My one observation is that the size of the rocks, angle of the camera, and lack of reference point makes this otter look to be about 2 inches long! (Maybe they are, I've never been to indonesia). If there were just a tree or something to give better scale... Still though, love the expression and composition.

Nice environmental portrait. More DOF would have helped on the otter, but it wasn't needed for the background. I'm willing to bet he wasn't just sitting around posing, though, so I'm guessing you had to sacrifice DOF in order to get the shot.

Nice lighting - the subject and surroundings are very evenly lit without being dull.
