casio qv-3000ex batteries problem

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

my casio qv 3000ex uses alcaline batteries, i tried to use 4 good NiMH AA batteries, but camera doesn't start. Why? i noticed that alcaline voltage is 1,5V while NiMH is 1,2V, can be a lower potential(Volts)problem?

No, it should work well with NiMH batteries. I got 2 sets of NiMH batteries for my qv3000 and it works great! I even get the feeling the batteries last longer than alkalines do.
