Does anyone have any experience in using or comparing Compact Flash Cards in the 96 to 128 mb range in Lexar, Sandisk & Delkin?? Pros and Cons, speed, etc. Thanks!! Need this info ASAP to make a decision.

I've used two 128 MB cards for a while and if you download images one by one, then it takes forever and a day. So, what I do is go into Windows Explorer and copy the files from the Sandisk directly into my Images directory. That takes a much more reasonable amount of time.

I'm no authority but this question has been asked before and while some cards have an inherent speed advantage built in the consensus seems to be that speed has a lot to do with the logic in your camera. I've never seen anyone stand on a soap box and shout the praise of one over the other. If anyone wants to shout I relinquish the soap box.

I purchased a Kingston 96MB CompactFlash Card from buy.com. The reason I chose it over the others, is that it carries a five year warranty, while the others carry a one year. It works fine in my Epson PhotoPC 3000Z. I download using a Sandisk USB ImageMate, which I also purchased from buy.com.

I saw a comparison of larger cards at: http://www.robgalbraith.com/

I thought the delete time was excessive on my Nikon 775 with a 128M card. I ran some tests on Kingston and San Disk 128M. Record times were 6 and 8 seconds respectively for an empty or full card for the same size/quality picture. Delete times varied by how full the card was. The Kingston started at 3 seconds and went up to 30 when the card was full. The San Disk started at 6 seconds and went up to 60 when full.
