Things that make you go hmmmmmm

Supposedly Bradford is signing Benito Carbone. Any bets on how long he'll last before going on strike? If he actually signs. ;-)

I'd hoped their secret signing would be Dunc

Macbeth,
According to the Ronnie tonight, Everton are VERY interested in taking DF back to Goodison. However, they reckon the Toon have told them the price is #7mm! Seems highly improbable anyone would pay #7mm for him - nevertheless, something seems to be brewing.
Teamtalk refer to some kind of a problem with the original deal that took Ferguson to SJP. They believe Everton would have pay #4.5 million rather than the #3.5 million reported asking price. They add "...exact details of this problem are unclear as yet but the extra million pounds could prove to be the real sticking point.
If he does go look for BR to go back for Mpenze.

Bah...Bobby should hang on for the 7mil or something far closer than 4.5. With all the crazy money going around, it's really not much. And with Cort and Cordone looking the business we can afford the time for Dunc and Shearer to get fit. If we can get another run out of the 2 of them like last Dec/January in addition to the rest scoring like crazy, Dunc is well worth keeping. Mpenze might stay fit longer, but I don't think he's as much a threat as a fit Dunc.

al-k-traz,
Are you related to clarky? You both value players in millimetres, and I'm pretty sure Dunc is a lot closer to 7' than 7mm ;-)

The new lass at work wearing a tight fitting top makes me go 'hmmmm'.

drop the 'h' Bobby.

If Dunc does go, then I hear Jason Euell is in the frame before Mpenza.

I think he'll spend the money on a midfielder, I read somewhere that bobby could sign the player he wanted tomorrow if he had the funds. Definately think a midfielder is needed, if we have to rely on Mclean at any point this season I fear we will struggle. AM

Let's not get too carried away. Cordone and Cort have impressed in pre-season but once it gets competitive it is a different matter. We know nothing about Cordone really and although Cort has played in the Prem before he will have to settle in with our team.

First time in ages we have three or possible four capable strikers and we want to offload one. What happens in the spring when we have Shearer and Cort/Cordon out through injury?

Couldn't agree more DeBuilder.....lets get them all fit and play them ALL ;))

A front four of Shearer and Dunc with Cordone on the left and Cort on the right. Could this be the key to finally start beating teams like Bradford and Southampton?! :0)

I've just been reading that Rangers have renewed interest in Dunc Probably Bollocks

Weren't some Turkish side after Duncs for 12 million earlier in the year? Hadn't they already "read a book about him"?

I think it was later revealed that Dunc was part of an extensive and unrealistic shopping list, I think Fenerbache was the club. They were after Zola as well.
