Had lunch in the Strawberry and the first thing anyone did was ask after Softie and Nic. Isn't the Toon amazing? Like a village. Also spent a mad amount of money in the club shop.

hate to disappoint yer pet, but the strawb is not Newcastle particularly and Softie local especially. Still nice they asked and wouldn't disagree that it a lovely place 'n all.

It still must be nice to come up from "that London" and be remembered, even if it is as a friend of a resident drunkard :-)

TM -Find a pub in London with the throughfare the Strawberry has where they remember anyone and I'll accept that it isn't particularly "Newcastle".

you're up early this morning Dougal. Busy at work or something ?

Hello. Yep - had a day off and I've a week off soon so I need to catch up with stuff. How are you? Hope all is well. All fine here - much refreshed from time in the Toon although I did manage to break three bones in my hand. Doh. Typing with one finger on my left hand.

Softie, it was very touching. I was sat there recovering from scaling the height of the ground and circumnavigating the ground three times to find out where you go re. Sts if the Box Office is closed (Business Centre were willing to take my cash although they wanted a cheque, even though it was only #42 and cash is good even in the Court of Saint James, I'd have hoped). Anyway, the young girl came and asked how you are and then the older lady came, too and asked after you, Nic and the baby. Nothing quite so warming has ever happened to me in London!

What happened ? Drop the bag holding all your NUFC purchases on your hand or something ?

Newcastle!!....it's grim up North.

Hang on a second Dougal, in many ways what I think you say is correct IMO. However, I was merely saying it's a small aspect in the big pond. Don't jump down me' throat assuming I'm having a go....:-(

hope your hand doesn't hurt too much :-))

TM, sorry, wasn't jumping down your throat. Sorry it lookec that way. LR, it's grimmmer yet in Birmingham or wherever you live.

Ok Dougal.... who did you punch?

-- Anonymous, August 08, 2000

Dougal nee bother...:-)))

-- Anonymous, August 08, 2000

Dougal, how'd you break 3 bones? Hope you're not already punching things before the season even starts! ;-)

What happened was that I got a cab and got dropped off at the station. I was just closing the door when the driver took off, pulling my arm with it and bringing me to my knees (scraped knees too). Still, it'll stop me from thumping Screach/Jonno..

That's awful! Did you get the name of the company. A complaint should be filed, if not a lawsuit!
