I understand the problem with parallax with point and shoot cameras. It is the reason I like most of the Sony line and 2 cameras from the Olympus line.

I have noticed a lot of digi cams now have the viewfinder above the lens instead of off to the side. Is this an attempt to fix the parallax problem, or just a style change?
