My husband`s met the woman of his dreams!

Hi - just got back from Brandshatch. Great weekend, excellent racing, brilliant fireworks and a wonderful atmosphere! BIG treat for my hubbie - the woman of his dreams was sat at the table next to us at dinner on Saturday night. None other than `Squeezy` Perry - Pete was totally made up, and will dine out on that with his biking buddies for days! Bit of a treat for me at breakfast this morning too - not every day that Frankie Chili passes you the milk! Mmm-mmmmmmmmm! What a nice boy!

But, total highlight of the weekend for me was a display by the most fantastic plane! I know what I think it was - but I`m not saying, in case I make a myself look like a right twonk. Did the most amazing manouvers, eventually coming to a virtual standstill in the air and then flying backwards. Then it turned to face the Grandstands, so close you felt you could almost touch it, and bowed! It was excellent. Forget the sound of the superbikes, forget the burbling of a v8 engine, this flying machine really did it for me! Pure metallic testosterone!!! (:o)

And no, I haven`t been drinking!

It does sound a bit like a Harrier Jump Jet, doesn't it?

Well that`s what I thought it might be....damn, it was clever!(:o)

Sounds like a Harrier to me too! No idea who "Squeezy" Perry or Frankie Chili are mind. Should I?

What a coincidence Galaxy, my wife has met the man of her dreams!

-- Anonymous, August 06, 2000

gus, who might that be then, not Loony surely? She hasn't met me, not unless she frequents Fremantle Workers' Club that is?

;7)

No Bud she does not frequent the workers club. She still has both her ears!!

gus, well all I can say is, she doesn't know what she's missing!

BTW, would you mind popping into the club to renew my subs., I'll help with the medical bills, should you have any trouble getting in and / or out?!

Pilgrim, no reason why you should know who they are, unless you`re a big Superbikes fan. (I know there are a couple on here.) Suzi Perry is the rather gorgeous, young, tall, stick insect who does the trackside interviews for Sky. To be fair though she is a real enthusiast, and really knows what she`s talking about. No stupid girlie questions from her. (I think she`s extremely good at her job, but you wouldn`t catch me telling Mr. Galaxy that!)

Frankie Chili is one of the top italian riders. Very popular here in the UK, mostly because he seems to love racing here and seem genuinely thrilled by the level of support he gets.

I am always amazed at how accessible even the top riders are in this sport. They are always happy to stop and chat, as are the team managers and the pit crew. Couldn`t see it happening in Formula One, definately a bit more prima donna-ish in that particular motor sport! (:o)

Gus - LOL!(;o) I hope she`ll be very happy! When does she go! (;o)

Bud,

No problem, I can sneak in with some of the lads from work. I take it the membership is in someones name?

Galaxy,

I'm not sure, but I did tell her I would help her pack!

Isn't 'perry' like cider, but made with pears?

Hi,

What was the lastest on Steve Hislop then? Is he okay?

Have I Got News For You just wouldn't be the same without him.

-- Anonymous, August 07, 2000

Gibbo - apparently he is just fine. Couldn`t remember anything about the accident, which was why they took him off to hospital.(:o)

BTW - young 18 yearold Geordie, Burns (can`t remember his first name) had a very good ride in the European Superstocks Championship, with a well earned second place.(:o)

Galaxy

Twas defo a Harrier its the only aircraft currently flying that does that. My little girl was stunned the other week when I told to wave an the pilot will bow - she did and he did.

See the 'I can see those fighter planes' thread that see Ciara started in July for loads of anoraky plane stuff.

A girl at work was down aat Brands Hatch yesterday - not in today I assume suffering from Bike lag - she camped on Saturday. I only saw the last lap of the 2nd race and Neil Hodgson? seemed pretty happy - do these guys normally pull wheelies on the final lap ?

I've got Superbike World Championship on this PC and my lad loves it - he's only 7.

Do they always pull wheelies? Usually - they like to finish with a flourish!!! Lots of wheelies and doughnuts on the celebratory lap too - much to the delight of the crowd! You should take your lad to a meeting - it`s a wonderful spectator sport.(:o)
