I am interested in finding out more about the parents of my great great grandfather, Joshua Carroll Carter, a Civil War veteran. Joshua was born in Stanly County in 1835 and died in Catawba County in 1930. I believe his parents names were Calvin Carter and Lula or Lila Carter. Are you sure that Joshua Cvarroll's parents were Calvin and Lila Carter? I have a Carroll Carter born 1837 , the son of John Carter and Litha or Lila
