What is the best digital camera to buy to take pictures of stars and the night sky? I was reading that ordinary digital cameras aren't good at this. So I need one i can adjust the exposure time o

Check the review here of the Casio QV-8000. As of Jan. 2000, it was the best low light camera. Only 1 MP, but 8x zoom. I thought I saw one better, but forgot which one

Try the Nikon D1... you can control exposure time and aperture and many other things... and it actually works almost exactly like a regular SLR...
