Where did you hear this from Cliff?.

I'm actually going to see Wolves play Sheff Wed on Aug 13th, 1st game of the new season, as part of a corporate hospitality bash. report to come.

Sorry, that should be Ketsbaia. I wish him well. At least his wage demands were not prohibitive unlike Charvet and Marcelino.

Celebration. Sorry to all those Ketsbaia fans out there but I'm very happy about this. He's crap. Runs around with less clue than me. I remember his debut against Zagreb at home, looked good when we we're winning but was sadly lacking at 1-1. Good bye, you bald headed Georgian wonder.

Well I kept wondering why he got a game. I'd have picked Coppinger over him and that's purely on the strength of Softies reports. Still 900k is 900 k more than we paid for him isn't it? Does that go down as a good bit of business then by TSM? No didn't think so!

So long Curly, a legend for that attack on the hoarding and subsequent hoying of shirt at Dalglish and punching of Pistone. The Quarter Final against Everton in the rain won't be forgotten either: 2 wickedly deflected shots and selflessly spurning his hattrick to set up Al for our fourth.

Bye bye Kets, all the best to you.

Every best wish for our heed case. Zagreb away lads, never forget that.

From the Wolves' official etc etc

>>WOLVES SIGN KETSBAIA
Wolves have named Georgian international Temuri Ketsbaia as their first major signing for the 2000/2001 season - subject to a successful medical and the granting of a work permit.

The 32 year old striker has put his name to a two year contract at Molineux after leaving Newcastle for a #900,000 fee.

Wolves were keen to capture a high profile signing following the departure of Ade Akinbiyi to Leicester City for #5 million.

Manager Colin Lee says: "Temuri is a player who will add something different to the squad. He can play, and score goals, from a variety of positions.

"He's a hard working player and is technically very good. Temuri is a quality signing and one which I hope will demonstrate the ambition we have at Wolves."

Ketsbaia adds: "I'm happy to be signing fo Wolves. I can see they have the ambition to be in the Premier League. I hope for the fans that we can do that this season."

Ketsbaia, who has played over 40 games for his country, began his career with Dinamo Sukhumi of the old USSR Second Division. He then went on to play for Dinamo Tbilis before beginning his overseas career with Aanorthosis Famagusta of Cyprus.

From there the striker, who can also play in midfield, moved to AEK Athens before signing as a free agent at St James' Park in the summer of 1997.

Ketsbaia won a Greek Cup winners medal in 1996 and 1997. He retired from international football in 1998. He won't be available to play in Wolves' pre-season friendly against Southampton on Saturday.<<

agreed Bobbby, I liked the guy but realised what a loon he was

Wolves manager Colin Lee added: "He will add something different to the squad. He can play and score goals from anywhere."

Something different....no dispute there!

I hope he scores a hat trick and kicks down Molineux

Yeah seeya Baldie.....well maybe not ;)

tara kets.

bald, passionate, unpredictable, (un)orthodox, bonkers, bewildering, frustrating. Mad as a hatter but always committed and determined, for those reasons I'm glad he's found a club and hope he does well at Moulineaux. I bet our dressing room is a duller place without him.

Wolves?

Has the world gone utterly insane?

Madness!

Good for him. Hope he does well there. And good for us to get another wage off the books. I admire his spirit and willingness, but he just wasn't good enough for us anymore. It would be nice if Wolves manage promotion next season...as long as he doesn't score against us! Now who's betting we draw them in the Worthless? ;-)

Not generally in my nature to do things like this, but I'm a little bit tempted to drop Kets a line at Molineux expressing the good wishes summed up above. Anyone care to have their name appended if I should so bother.....?

Could make it a little bbs routine every time we sell a player. Now if someone can organise a dog turd in a box, I'll make out the envelope to Porto...

Tou can put my name on that Geordie!

-- Anonymous, August 04, 2000

ahhh...if only you'd asked yesterday. Had a nice big pile of cat turd left in my bedroom in protest of some perceived slight. It's long gone now, and point being made, my cat is back to being all cute and cuddly.

As for Kets, you can add me to the list as well if you get around to sending him a card.

Good bit of business this. For both parties.

I just hope Ketsbaia doesn't lash out at NUFC at never getting a fair run.

Bobby's building up his transfer kitty nicely now. He must have close to five million on sales. Pitty Charvet buggered his move up. With his and Marcelino's sale Robson should have enough to buy a very decent left winger.

Dan - you can add me to your list as well. Kets was a good honest worker and gave everything when he played. Sadly, he isn't quite good enough for what we need to push for the top. However, I'd rather have kept him than the wasters like Maric (RIP), Charvet and Marcelino who seemed intent on screwing everything they could out of NUFC.

He was a good squad player but not a regular. He will become a regular at Molineux and I think (and hope) he'll do well in the First Division.

Good luck Kets. You go with the best wishes of most (if not all) of us - unlike some of your ex-team mates.

All the best to the georgian nutter. He was not the greatest but in a world where the foriegners have slagged of this country and the football, even though they play here, it was great to know that he give 100% and never complained about anything, except for not getting a game.

good luck in the lback country, the only problem is he has a it further to run to start kicking the advertisement boards.

Dan,

Add my name to anything you send. It's good to see a player prepared to move to a lesser club because his main love is football. The Marics, Charvets and Marcelinos of this world should take note.

-- Anonymous, August 05, 2000

Yep - I'm with Mark - if we'd shifted the other wastrels I could have suppported keeping him as a squad player - 110% every time - pity his brain and feet weren't linked too closely.

Good luck Kets you deserve it.
