Well I'll wish her a happy birthday if no one else will. Its the monarchy as an institution I find objectionable, not the individuals. mmmm ok they are pretty objectionable as individuals come to think of it but there is a difference.

I know shes an reactionary Thatcher-loving snob but I can't help having a sneaking admiration for anyone best known for running up huge overdrafts at Coetes backing donkeys and knocking back countless G+Ts, and still making 100.

Would like to think the British taxpayer isn't meeting the bill for her bash though. Some chance. Britain will probably have to break up before we're shot of them.

It's amazing she's lasted so long with all the ops and things she's had - is it two hip replacements? Years ago she also had a colostomy - apparently she took a lot of persuading on that one - she was really worried that she wouldn't be able to get shoes to match the bag!
