Just another internet prank. I read that and said "no way" After all Gervais didn't do anything since he got there!

I could probably watch no more episodes and be happy since his lazy self did not make the cut tonight. In order of next removal... I vote off Sean, Colleen, Richard or Susan. Better yet, give me the money :)

If it had been me, Gervace would have been one of the first to go. I surprised he lasted this long. Theory on his winning was while he didn't do anything he absolutely didn't have to, he didn't offend anyone either. If he had pitched in and did his share, he might have been the winner. According to the AOL weekly poll, Richard is projected as being the next one to be voted off. I don't see either Rudy or Sean as the ultimate winner. Guess my money is on Kelly at the moment.

I only watched this show intermittently but, what a scam. They get everyone sucked into trying to figure out who will remain and be the victor. Ugh. I'll bet they already know who it is. That Rudy is Rude and Rick is an ego maniac. Wow he built a fire, any one of us could have done that, it all depends on who's friend you are at this point and who you P--s off. I guess it is entertainment. They also have the one with Big Brother and the gal who was the trouble maker was banished from the house.

I watch sometimes. I was surprised since Gervace was supposed to win accoding to that web site. I know Rudy is rude, but have you read anything about his background? Can you believe he is 72 yrs old. I hope I'm in that condition at his age! He has a very commendable military record also. This cant really be that rough for him considering what his past military experience as a SEAL has been. I'm rooting for Rudy! Rudy! Rudy! Rudy!

Lynda:

The show was filmed sometime around February so the winner has been known for some time to a select few. Everyone involved had to sign an oath of secrecy not disclose the winner. I suspect they won't get their prize money until after the last episode airs. This was a hugh production. The show had something like 150 personnel involved. For the final filming they cut that down only to absolutely essential personnel. The suspense build-up is for the ratings. It wouldn't surprise me if the last episode draws more viewer than the Who Shot JR disclosure or the last MASH episode. More viewers mean more they can charge advertisers for the commercials. Also no surprise the last episode will be two-hours long to cram in even more commercials. They already have a follow-up planned for next year in the Australian outback - along the lines of Sands of the Kaiahari.

I wonder if these "survivors" could survive homesteading. Could they keep up with one of us homesteaders during "the busy season"?

Maybe the true survivors are the viewers. I will never again complain of summer reruns.

-- Jay Blair (jayblair678@yahoo.com), August 06, 2000.

I am also rooting for Rudy. He is the one who deserves to win.

I see where Jenna may appear in Playboy. I guess Playgirl is out of the question for Rudy.

At least the people on Survivor have something to do with their days, I have enjoyed watching and studing the dynamics of interpersonal relations. I was rasied an only child so group dynamics facinate (sp?) me. The Big Brother show seems about who will "do" who, I am sick of that girl laying around with everyone. They need to give those people something to do! Susan is too cocky, I hope she gets her self knocked down a notch or two, Rudy has adapted well, we are voting for him.

You know, I never thought I'd see the day that CBS would get smart enough to outsmart a bunch of hackers. Looks like they did it. I bow to the better judgement of all here who said that the network wouldn't be that stupid -- you were right!!!
