Paul: You may want to consider "ImageAXS", a very capable and versatile program. It will give you flexibility in setting up your pix database, add data from hard disc folders, ZIP discs and CDs, provide thumbnails and full size screen images. I use it on a Macintosh, but I understand that it also runs under Windows. It is described in detail at their website at

A "light" version used to come on the CD with the Iomega ZIP drives.

You may also want to give Thumbs Plus at www.cerious.com a look. You can download an evaluation copy and later buy it on-line if you so choose. It will store thumbnails of offline CD's & floppies in its database that load very fast. Double-click the thumbnail and it will prompt you for the appropriate CD or floppy. It has many other useful features (such as auto-rename of an unlimited number of files) as well as top-notch technical support (important but often over- looked).
