Follow this link to a new competition. I have emailed some of you but could not possibly have included everyone. I think there is a limit of 20 to a division. You are all invited. The division name is Newcastle BBS United and the password is cuddlyb0b. 1st place is a trip to Japan for the Intercontinental Cup.

The first "Game of the week" has United against manure.

"Scoring"

You are awarded 1 Small World Point (SWP) for every match you tip correctly. The weekly winner will be the person who scored the most points that week. If two or more players tie on points, the weekly Tiebreaker is used.

The Tiebreaker appears on the "Make or Change Tips" page. After you've made your tips, enter the number of goals you think will be scored in all the week's matches. If there's a tie, the person whose prediction comes closest to the actual number of goals scored that week will win.

Remember, the Tiebreaker is frozen at the first Tip Freeze of the week (12 PM UK time the day of the match), so you must enter your Tiebreaker prediction before then.

The person with the highest SWP score for the season will be the season winner. To see how you're doing, you can compare your point total to the other Challengers in your division, and view the worldwide leaders on the "Leaders" page.

"Prizes"

Competition is a key part of Small World Premier League Tip 'Em. Anyone can play well, win their division, and earn bragging rights in that division. The truly talented Challengers will compete for some outstanding prizes.

Pack your bags! Finish with the most overall correct Tips for the season, and you'll be on your way to Japan to see the Inter-Continental Cup in 2001 where you'll watch the Latin American and European Club champions battle head to head for the World Club Title in Tokyo.

Prize includes: Inter-Continental Cup tickets, Round-trip airfare, five (5) days / four (4) nights deluxe hotel accommodations in Tokyo, Airport and venue transfers

And that's not all! We're giving away 36" televisions to our next ten finishers, and Small World T-Shirts to finishers 11-150! You still have a chance to win, even if you get a late start! We'll be giving away great SmallWorld Gear to the top ten scorers every week of the season! So keep playing-you could be a winner!

If I win do I get a trip to the UK?

I am over 5'10" can I enter?

-- Anonymous, August 02, 2000

You can register by going to tipem.smallworld.com and then "Register Now!". After completing the name and address info (make sure to de-select their junkmail- they will not bother you) you enter the division name and password: Newcastle BBS United and cuddlyb0b. That's all.

You must be at least 5'3" to play.

I've been in their basketball league before and on two occasions finished in the top 100 winning an EA Sports game. I'm curious to see how popular the EPL version will be. The NBA game had about 300,000 entries.

OK, it's not in my nature to beg but THERE'S ONLY 1 OTHER PERSON IN MY smallworld league!!!! It's a simple game much like our own Win-Lose-Draw competition, you also have to guess how many goals will be scored for the week. That's it- I would say about 3 minutes per week. There will be several thousand entries and if one of us can get in the top 50-100 places it will get our team name on the leader board.
