In case anyone is wondering...

At the risk of having to "annoy" astrological debunkers, and with the knowledge they will have to expend enormous effort once again in their debunking(oh my, what an ass I am), I will offer, with my conical hat on, the reason why this forum has gotten a bit odd in the last week:

There have been three eclipses since July 1-an unusual number for a month's time. The last one occured Sunday night in Leo. The Leo part is important, because a big Leo trait is always wanting to be the center of attention, or if not the center, at least the strong desire to be noticed. This is why I suspect our HTML graffitti artist is a Leo Sun or a Leo moon.(Only you know, my dear artiste-go to www.alabe.com and click on free chart-enter your birthtime and place if you want to see what your moon sign is).

Across the board, a series of eclipses like we just had will accelerate those things folks have put aside, which causes anxiety, and the increased anxiety causes strange things to happen. I myself have felt the turn to the bizarre in the board, hence my posts have been "going with the flow".

Hi FutureShock,

Would you mind posting when the other two eclipses were and what signs they were in? Thanks.

Lunar eclipse in Cancer on 7/1/2000 and a solar eclipse on 7/16/2000 with the sun in cancer and the moon in capricorn.

All kidding aside, would I be on shakey astrological ground if I blame the moon being in the sign of Leo as the primary cause of the mysterious break-down of one of the HP Lasor Jets yesterday? I haven't the foggest idea what killed this hunk of junk, and that excuse seems as good as any, but I don't know if Leo "rules" electricity or whether it was a Leo moon yesterday.

Then again, maybe I'm going through severe Dew withdrawl symptoms.

KB-

It is the planet Uranus that rules electricity and the internet, among other things. Some things just get old and go BOOM.

Stock in the Mars company, makers of Almond Joy and Mounds has skyrocketed since I posted that thread. I have sold of my stock in mountain dew since hearing of your decision. Best of luck.

About this moon thing you speak of... Is it a rock?

And this series of eclipses that are accelerating stuff... Does that mean we're all going to die?

Oh, and this Leo guy... Is he going to be in Vegas in October? If so, will he be going with the flow or will he be causing everyone anxiety?

Sorry I need to ask all these questions but I've been off-line for the last week and haven't yet caught up on the "bizzare" happenings that have reportedly been going on around here. Should I be afraid? If so, should I be VERY afraid?

...off to get more Baileys 'n coffee.

That about sums it up. Now back to our regularly scheduled program.

Keep a few of your Dew shares, FS, I doubt that I'll remain on the wagon much longer: today, I tired some pinkish herbal tea that one of the secretaries brewed for me. BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I appreciated the thought, but a three pm washout demands something stronger, methinks.

-- (kb8um8@yahoo.com), August 01, 2000.

They were only partial eclipses. Only full ones count. Next one is in Africa June 2001.

I did not mean to be impartial.

kb8um8 - I suspect a silent conspiracy has been in the works with the HP LaserJet's....mine conked out yesterday too.

-- LunaC (Error51@NoWorkeeNoMo.com), August 01, 2000.

Say it ain't so, LunaC! The HP on the third floor died around lunch. Could it be ... Y2K at last??????? (very evil laugh)

-- (kb8um8@yahoo.com), August 01, 2000.

kb8um8 - Naw, the damn gizmos were probably just Leo's reacting to the eclipse and wanting to be the center of attention. ;-P

Once again, the crystal fondlers provide amusement! You think this forum has "gotten a bit odd in the last week:"?????

This place has been a psychologists DREAM ever since its inception!!! Stinky I was the place for term papers though....A+ term papers on abnormal psychology!

I'm thinking cpr...er, Frother, is an afflicted Capricorn with nasty aspects to Virgo or Mercury.....close-minded, cantankerous and neurotic. hahahaha

Party on!

Someone told me once that my sun and moon were in Aquarius, and that was why I felt at home in weird places. Gee, I thought it was because I was born in Ann Arbor, home of WEIRDNESS (I don't live there anymore).

FS, I personally prefer the Solar magnetic storm theory....

-- FactFinder (FactFinder@bzn.com), August 01, 2000.

WOW-FS-many thanks. And, very kewl. Appreciate you sharing. Much more info that I had anticipated. Thanks again!

-- Aunt Bee (Aunt__Bee@hotmail.com), August 01, 2000.

kb8um8, I know AA very well. When were you there? Did you attend UofM? Oh yes, GO BLUE!

-- Ra (tion@l.1), August 01, 2000.

Ra, I lived over on one of those narrow, tree-lined streets behind the West Stadium Post Awful and attended Pioneer High. I went to MSU for college because A2 was just too weird for me by the late 70s: I wasn't into pot, disco, or liberals. I just wanted to become an engineer or a community college math/computer instructor, find a nice woman to marry, and live in a quiet neighborhood with slightly wider streets...
